Helping Business Weather the Storm

Hazardous Weather Outlook for Wednesday, December 30, 2015

by WeatherOps, on Dec 29, 2015 8:20:26 AM

Excessive rainfall is possible on Wednesday across the Southeast. Moderate to heavy snow will end across Maine.

A developing low developing along a nearly stationary frontal boundary will continue to promote showers and thunderstorms across the Southeast. Rain activity will likely be heaviest during the morning hours before tapering off from west to east during the afternoon and evening. General rainfall amounts of .75-1.50 inches, with localized amounts in excess of 2.5 inches will be possible and could lead to a continued flooding threat across the region due to recent heavy rains.

Periods of snow will continue mainly for the northern half of Maine on Wednesday as an area of low pressure moves off to the northeast. Snow should end by late morning, but additional accumulations of 1-3 inches (isolated amounts in excess of 4 inches) will be possible.
