by WeatherOps, on Dec 16, 2015 3:22:16 AM

While no significant threats are forecast into Wednesday, two weather systems will impact portions of the country. Over the Pacific Northwest, especially coastal Oregon, an area of low pressure is forecast offshore, bring light to moderate rainfall across the region. Rainfall totals up to an inch will be possible with locally heavier amounts in excess of 2.5 inches possible. Elsewhere, snow showers across portions of Minnesota are likely as the area of low pressure over the north central US lifts to the northeast. The trailing cold front over the Mississippi River Valley will push into the Southeast, with light to moderate rainfall forecast across the region. Total accumulations of 1-2 inches will be possible, especially across Alabama and northern Georgia.
