Moderate to heavy snow is possible on Saturday across portions of the Northwest.
An area of low pressure over the Intermountain West is forecast to close off and weaken as it moves off to the east with little or no impacts. Back to the northwest, the next upper level low will continue to deepen with strong upper level winds overspreading the region with continued rain and snow. The heavier amounts will likely be confined to the Northern Cascades over Washington, but isolated moderate to heavy snow may be possible across the mountainous region of northern California. 3-6 inches of snow are possible with isolated higher amounts in higher terrain.
