Thunderstorms will continue across portions of the Northern Plains on Thursday; some may be severe. Showers and thunderstorms will also continue across portions of the Southern Plains and Southeast. Heavy rain expected in some areas.

An area of low pressure will lift northward along the US/Canadian boarder through the day. Showers and thunderstorms will likely develop across portions of the Dakotas with large hail and damaging winds possible. Further to the south, the low affecting the Southern Plains will continue to progress eastward. Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms with damaging winds will be possible.

Heavy rain will continue through the Southeast. Flooding will remain possible across Louisiana and Mississippi with 1-3 inches of rain possible.
