National Weather Summary for Tuesday, April 1, 2014

A few isolated storms will be possible today across portions of Eastern Kansas and portions of Southwestern Oklahoma/Northwestern Texas. Mountain snow will be possible for portions of portions of the Pacific Northwest and into the Central and Northern Rockies.

An isolated severe weather event is anticipated as a low level jet begins to strengthen over the Southern Plains. The main area of concern will be a small area to the west of I-35 between Oklahoma City and Dallas. Any storms that are able to develop will have the potential for hail, but damaging winds and an isolated tornado will be possible. In areas of Northeastern Kansas and Missouri, severe thunderstorms will be possible tonight. Damaging hail will be the main concern with these storms.
