Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Monday from the Delmarva peninsula into Georgia.

A broad trough moving through the Appalachians and into the Eastern Seaboard will allow for a risk of severe weather from the Delmarva peninsula to Georgia by mid to late afternoon. Thunderstorms with the potential for large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes will be possible from the Central and Southern Appalachians, into the Tennessee Valley to the Southeast. Large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes will be possible. Activity will persist into the early overnight hours along the Eastern Seaboard.
