Heavy rain is expected Tuesday across the Gulf Coast and Southeast. Up to 2 inches of rain will be possible.
NWS Advisories/Watches/Warnings in iMapProA series of disturbances will interact with a cold front and Gulf moisture to produce periods of rain and thunderstorms across the Gulf Coast and Southeast. 1-2 inches of rain will be common with isolated areas in excess of 3 inches. A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible. If storms become severe, hail and damaging winds will be the main threats.
