Marginal Risk For Thunderstorms Tonight Across Texas

by WeatherOps, on Nov 21, 2014 12:37:25 PM

There is a marginal risk for thunderstorms tonight across portions of Texas as an upper level trough moves across the Southern Rockies. Thunderstorms will likely develop tonight as the low level jet begins to intensify. As thunderstorms develop, hail will be the main concern, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

The thunderstorm potential shifts east tomorrow across eastern Texas and the northern Gulf Coast. As thunderstorms develop tomorrow, they will initially be individual cells with large hail possible, but individual cells will eventually merge into a squall line, posing more of a damaging wind threat, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
