General thunderstorms will be possible today for portions of the Southern Plains and Ozarks, as well as the Gulf Coast into the Mid Atlantic.

A weak cold front will push into the Southern Plains, allowing for scattered showers and thunderstorms for portions of Missouri through the Red River and the Texas Panhandle. Scattered thunderstorms will remain along the Gulf Coast with no significant impacts. Hurricane Odile is making landfall in the Baja Peninsula as a Category 3 hurricane. This storm will dissipate through the week and bring scattered thunderstorms to the Desert Southwest by midweek.
