Severe thunderstorms are possible today across the Lower Great Lakes and Midwest. General thunderstorms are possible for portions of the Great Lakes into the Plains and the Four Corners region.

Severe weather is possible today across the Great Lakes ahead of a cold front extending from the Great Lakes and into the Southern Plains. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible ahead of the front, but severe thunderstorms will be possible for portions of the Great Lakes and Midwest; large hail and damaging winds will be the main concerns with these storms. Excessive rainfall is possible along the New Mexico/Texas border where 2-3 inches of rain are expected.
