Severe thunderstorms are possible Saturday across the Upper Northeast. General thunderstorms are possible for portions of the Northeast through the Southern Plains. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are possible for portions of the Desert Southwest.

A region of severe weather will present itself for the Upper Northeast on Saturday. As the cold front lines from the Atlantic Coastline into Lower Texas, showers and thunderstorms will continue during the day along this boundary. Low to moderate instability and weak wind shear will allow for thunderstorms in the Northeast to produce some damaging wind gusts, and possibly an occasional bout of severe hail
