Helping Business Weather the Storm

Slight Risk for Portions of the Central High Plains

by WeatherOps, on Aug 27, 2014 12:45:36 PM

There is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms this afternoon across the Central High Plains. Daytime heating and moisture advection will contribute to destabilization. The forcing for thunderstorms will come from an upper level trough moving across the Rockies. As thunderstorms develop, hail and damaging winds will be the main concerns. Storms will likely dissipate after dark.
