Hazardous Weather Outlook for Thursday, August 28, 2014

Showers and thunderstorms, with isolated strong thunderstorms, will be possible for portions of the Central Plains and Midwest. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible for portions of the Southeast and the Gulf Coast.

Showers and thunderstorms will once again be possible across the Southern and Central Plains and into the Midwest as low pressure continues to slowly move across the region. A few isolated stronger to severe storms could occur, with damaging winds and hail the primary threats. Into the Southeast, mainly across the Northern Gulf Coast, afternoon showers and thunderstorms will be possible with no severe thunderstorms expected.

TROPICAL
Hurricane Cristobal will begin to accelerate to the northeast across the Central Atlantic on Thursday keeping all activity well offshore of the East Coast. Cristobel will likely begin to weaken and could become a Tropical Storm on Friday before becoming post tropical and moving into the North Atlantic on Saturday.
