Helping Business Weather the Storm

Hazardous Weather Outlook for Wednesday, August 6, 2014

by WeatherOps, on Aug 5, 2014 4:22:31 PM

Scattered thunderstorms will be possible on Wednesday across portions of the Central Plains and Upper Midwest; some may be severe. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible across portions of the Mid Atlantic and Northeast, as well as the Intermountain West.

The overall weather pattern changes very little on Wednesday, with perhaps the greatest change entailing an eastward shift with an upper low moving into the Southwest. Showers and thunderstorms will linger across the Great Basin and Intermountain West region. A more subtle wave of low pressure tracking into the Midwest region may bring a swath of showers and thunderstorms, some severe, across Iowa, Missouri and Illinois. Otherwise, pop-up showers and thunderstorms - typical for this time of year - will be possible again across the Ohio Valley and Mid-Atlantic.
