A weak area of low pressure will allow for thunderstorm development from the Central Rockies to the Southern Plains with some severe weather possible. Favorable wind profiles and moderate instability will allow for some individual supercells. The tornado risk will be highest in the afternoon as thunderstorms initially form and then decrease into the evening. Heavy rain is also expected across the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles. 3-4 inches of rain over the Panhandles of Oklahoma and Texas will lead to significant flooding and flash flooding.
