Helping Business Weather the Storm

Hazardous Weather Outlook for Wednesday, July 9, 2014

by WeatherOps, on Jul 8, 2014 4:16:56 PM

Scattered showers and isolated severe thunderstorms will be possible on Wednesday for portions of the High Plains, as well as the Lower Mississippi River Valley to the Mid Atlantic.

High pressure will build across the Western CONUS on Wednesday with isolated showers possible over the Rockies. A lesser risk for severe weather is expected as today’s cold front shunts the risk for thunderstorm development further south and away from better upper-level support. Even still, potential outflow boundaries from Tuesday and moderate instability across the Lower Mississippi Valley and Southeast regions will still support a small risk for a few isolated severe impacts from afternoon and evening thunderstorm activity.
