Light snow will continue across portions of Montana through mid morning as an upper level system moves across the region. Snow accumulations of 2-4 inches with locally higher amounts are expected. By the evening hours, snow may develop over portions of North Dakota. Accumulations will generally be less than half an inch.

A Look Ahead
As a cold front associated with an area of low pressure in southern Canada continues to move eastward on Thursday, showers and thunderstorms may develop from the Great Lakes to the Lower Mississippi Valley. By the evening, rain is expected across the Northeast as the cold front continues to move eastward; some light snow may mix in overnight. In the Pacific Northwest, a front will bring rain to the Seattle area. Going into Friday and Saturday, fairly calm conditions are expected for much of the country. By Sunday, an area of low pressure moving into the Rockies will allow for the potential for light to moderate snow across the Northern Rockies.
