Helping Business Weather the Storm

Hazardous Weather Outlook for Thursday, January 21, 2016

by WeatherOps, on Jan 20, 2016 8:07:40 AM

Light to moderate snow is possible on Thursday across the Ozarks. Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible across the Lower Mississippi Valley.

Developing low pressure over the Lower Mississippi River Valley will see another round of light to moderate snow across the Ozarks on Thursday. 1-3 inches of snow will be possible with locally higher amounts possible.

A risk for hazardous thunderstorms can be expected across much of the Lower Mississippi Valley as unseasonably high moisture content and modest instability surges northward from the Gulf of Mexico. A passing cold front will further aid in strong to severe thunderstorm development with damaging wind gusts and perhaps a small tornado threat being the primary hazards.
