Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible on Friday across Florida. Moderate snowfall will be possible across the Rockies.

Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible during the morning hours for parts of Florida. The primary threats with these thunderstorms will be damaging winds, heavy rainfall, and frequent lightning. There will also be a very slight risk for tornadoes along the western coastline.

Heavier rain showers are expected around the surface low. As a result, the northern tier of the threat area could see rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches of rain, with locally higher amounts.

Across the country, a weak upper level disturbance will move over the Rocky Mountains today, bringing the threat of moderate snowfall into this region. Total snowfall amounts of 4-6 inches can be expected with locally higher amounts, especially in the higher elevations.
