Moderate snowfall is possible on Saturday across the Northeast.
The surface low that brought severe weather to Florida is forecast to move over the Gulf Stream and rapidly intensify. The surface low will clip the northeast as it moves northward. Models are in better agreement, and are pushing the center of the low toward the coastline. This will result in heavier snowfall totals, with a total of 5-7 inches of snowfall can be anticipated. Locally higher amounts could occur in isolated bands.
