Helping Business Weather the Storm

Hazardous Weather Outlook for Friday, January 8, 2016

by WeatherOps, on Jan 7, 2016 8:18:44 AM

Snow accumulation is possible on Friday across Southern Colorado. Light snow is possible across the Western Great Lakes.

An area of low pressure over the Southwest will track through the Rockies into the Plains, allowing snow to develop across Southern Colorado. Snow accumulations of 2-5 inches are expected.

With a warm front associated with the low pressure system positioned across parts of the western Great Lakes, areas of a wintry mix are forecast over portions of Minnesota and Wisconsin. Snowfall accumulations of 2-4 inches are possible, however, most areas will see less than two inches. While snow is the likely precipitation type, some brief periods of rain and freezing rain across portions of Wisconsin, especially areas south of the warm front into the afternoon.
