Hazardous Weather Outlook for Thursday, January 7, 2015

Heavy snow is possible above 4000 feet on Thursday across the Sierra Nevada. Accumulating snow is possible for portions of Northern and Central Arizona.

A cold and unstable air mass will remain over the Sierra Nevada and the Northern California Coastal Range allowing snow to continue, generally above 4000 feet. Moderate additional accumulation is expected.

A second low pressure center will move across Arizona on Thursday. Snow levels are forecast to fall to around 4000 feet. Several inches of snow can be expected at locations above 5000 feet across Northern and Central Arizona.
