Hazardous Weather Outlook for Wednesday, December 23, 2015

Hazardous thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday across the Gulf Coast, Midwest, and Tennessee Valley. Moderate to heavy snow is possible across the Pacific Northwest.

A strengthening trough of low pressure and frontal boundary is anticipated to push through the Central US bringing a significant chance for severe weather. The greatest risk for severe thunderstorms will be across portions of the Mid South to the Tennessee Valley. Hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes will be possible. Excessive rainfall will also be possible with rainfall totals of over 3 inches possible in some areas.

Snowfall is anticipated to continue into Wednesday with snowfall accumulations of 6-10 inches possible in some areas.
