National Weather Summary

Hazardous Weather Outlook for Wednesday, November 4, 2015

Written by WeatherOps | Nov 3, 2015 3:40:34 PM

Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday across the Southern High Plains.

A surface low is forecast to develop along the Colorado Front Range in response to an upper level trough moving out of the Desert Southwest. This low will help transport Gulf moisture northward into the region, while providing the lift for shower and thunderstorm development. Temperatures in the 70s and dewpoints in the 60s will result in marginal instability. Coupled with strong winds aloft, a few thunderstorms will allow for a few severe thunderstorms. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary concerns, but an isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out.
