Helping Business Weather the Storm

Hazardous Weather Outlook for Thursday, September 3, 2014

by WeatherOps, on Sep 2, 2015 10:18:44 AM

The eastward progression of an upper level trough out of the Pacific Northwest will usher a cold front into the Northern Plains on Thursday. Rain chances will increase, however the only hazards will be small hail and wind gusts exceeding 30 mph.

General thunderstorms will be possible across the Great Lakes and also along Eastern Seaboard with the presence of a warm front across the Upper Midwest and a cold front moving into the Atlantic, but no severe weather or heavy rainfall is anticipated.

A lingering cutoff low over the western Gulf of Mexico will allow for showers and general thunderstorms along the coastlines, but no severe weather or heavy rainfall is anticipated.
