Severe thunderstorms with the potential for large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes will be possible today for portions of the Northern and Central Plains.

Current NWS Advisories/Watches/Warnings

A warm front will lift northward through the day and gulf moisture will surge northward allowing for thunderstorms capable of large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes. A few tornadoes may have the potential to be strong and long lasting.

Elsewhere, thunderstorms will be possible for portions of the Gulf Coast and into Florida.

2-3 inches of rain will be possible for portions of the Northern Plains, allowing for the potential for flash flooding.
