Severe thunderstorms with the potential for very large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes are likely today for portions of Eastern Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas through Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio. Moderate snowfall will also be possible from Colorado and points northward into the Dakotas and Minnesota.

The severe weather potential today will be widespread with large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes possible. Storm development will occur either in Eastern Kansas/Oklahoma and Western Missouri or further east into the lower-middle Missouri River Valley. The main area of concern extends from St. Louis, through Memphis, and north of Shreveport.

Elsewhere, the same system responsible for this outbreak will allow for snowfall from the western Great Lakes into the Rockies where 4-8 inches of snow, with locally higher amounts, will be possible.
