Severe Thunderstorm with a Hail Threat Today 3/23/2016

by Marcus Hicks, on Mar 23, 2016 9:28:47 AM

Low pressure and a cold front will strengthen in the Central United States today and begin pushing eastward towards the Ohio Valley. A swath of potential severe weather will exist from Northern Missouri down through Texas where low to moderate instability, strong wind shear, and plentiful moisture will exist. Thunderstorms should form along the dryline and supercells are expected. Large hail, damaging wind gusts, and a few tornadoes will be possible. The move favorable areas for large hail and tornadoes will be along the borders of Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas.
