Helping Business Weather the Storm

National Weather Summary for Monday, October 19, 2015

by WeatherOps, on Oct 19, 2015 4:48:15 AM

There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms and excessive rainfall Monday across the Desert Southwest and Great Basin.

Showers and thunderstorms are possible, once again, across the Desert Southwest and Great Basin ahead of a strong upper level low currently along the Pacific Northwest coast, providing lift across the region. A few strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible, especially during the afternoon and evening with gusty winds and hail the main threats. Available moisture will be somewhat limited due to ongoing showers over the past few days, but excessive rainfall will be possible with any particularly heavy thunderstorm. There will be a flash flooding threat with any heavy storms, with 0.25-0.50 inch possible and some areas picking up in excess of 0.75 inch.
