Excessive rainfall is possible on Thursday for portions of the Mid Atlantic and Southeast coasts.

Showers and thunderstorms will be possible along the Mid Atlantic and Southeastern coasts throughout the day on Thursday. A weak low and ample moisture will begin to move inland which should allow for widespread showers and pockets of heavy rain. Rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.0 inch is possible throughout the region with locally higher amounts in excess of 2 inches possible with strong storms.
