Scattered thunderstorms and isolated severe thunderstorms are expected Monday from the Central Plains into the Great Lakes. Heavy rain and flooding is likely from the Southern Plains into the Midwest.

A cold front is expected to push southeastward through the Central Plains and Great Lakes. Overnight and early morning thunderstorms will be likely ahead of the front, but storms could redevelop this afternoon. Any thunderstorms will have the potential for large hail and damaging winds.

Across the Southern Plains through the Midwest, scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible in the late afternoon and evening over the Missouri Valley and South Central Plains. Heavy rain will be possible, with some areas picking up 2-3 inches of rain. Flash flooding will be possible across this region during the evening.
