by WeatherOps, on May 5, 2015 3:23:04 PM

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible for portions of the Central and Southern Plains. Severe thunderstorms are possible from Oklahoma through Kansas,

Central/Southern Plains:On Wednesday, ongoing storms and showers as well as cloud cover will be a cause for uncertainty in the severity of storms fro the day. Nonetheless, enough clearing of clouds should occur, allowing for destabilization of the atmosphere which will give way to thunderstorm development. Storms will initially be individual, with a heightened afternoon risk of all severe parameters before storms merge into a cluster/line.

Oklahoma through Kansas: Along the dryline and during the early evening, there will be moderate threat for tornadic development as the jet strengthens during this timeframe. Stronger supercells with large hail, winds gusting in excess of 65 mph, and a more moderate tornado threat could occur.
