Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Monday across East Texas and Louisiana. Moderate to heavy rain is likely across the Texas Panhandle, as well as Western and Central Oklahoma.

Ongoing thunderstorms are forecast to continue to progress into Southeastern Texas and Louisiana. With thunderstorms that are able to develop, large hail and damaging winds will be the main concern. During the afternoon, instability will recover across central Louisiana and Eastern Texas. Scattered thunderstorms may develop ahead of a weak area of low pressure. Hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes will be the main concerns.

North and northwest of the surface low across eastern Texas, moderate to heavy rainfall will be possible across the Texas Panhandle as well as western and central Oklahoma. 2-3 inches of rain and flash flooding will be possible.
