Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Wednesday for the Southern Plains.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms have developed across portions of the Southern Plains as a cold front slowly moves southward toward Northern Texas. Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop by midday from Southern Oklahoma through Central Texas and eastward into Louisiana ahead of a cold front along the Oklahoma/Texas border and a dryline. As storms develop, large hail, damaging winds, lightning, heavy rain, and isolated tornadoes will be possible during the l;ate afternoon into the early evening.
