Heavy rain is likely on Tuesday for the Gulf Coast and the Southeast.
A series of passing disturbances will interact with an advancing cold front and abundant Gulf moisture to produce periods of rain and thunderstorms across this region. A widespread 1 to 2 inches of rain is expected with isolated pockets in excess of 3 inches possible. A few strong to severe thunderstorms are also a possibility.
