Thunderstorms For Portions of the Southern Plains and Mississippi Valley

Written by WeatherOps | Apr 6, 2015 5:44:06 PM

Severe thunderstorms are possible today across portions of the Mississippi Valley as daytime heating and moisture advection contributes to destabilization. Thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and evening. While coverage will be somewhat isolated, any storms that develop will have the potential for large hail and damaging winds.

Across much of West Texas, thunderstorms will be possible ahead of a dryline. With sufficient forcing and destabilization, thunderstorms will likely develop ahead of the dry line. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main concerns with any storms that develop.
