Current NWS Advisories/Watches/Warnings in iMapPro

An area of low pressure and the associated warm front lifting into the Gulf Coast region will allow for a slight risk for severe thunderstorms to much of Louisiana and Southwestern Mississippi. The main timing for severe thunderstorms will be this morning and afternoon. Damaging winds to 50 miles per hour will be possible.

Deep moisture in place across the Southern US will interact with an area of low pressure to bring prolonged periods of showers and thunderstorms to Louisiana and Western Mississippi and stretching northwestward into Arkansas, northeast Texas, and southeast Oklahoma. 1-3 inches of rain will be possible, leading to an increased flooding threat.
