Hazardous Weather Outlook for Tuesday, February 24, 2015

by WeatherOps, on Feb 23, 2015 3:35:53 PM

Moderate to heavy snow will continue on Tuesday for the Four Corners region.

Four Corners: Snow will continue through the region through the overnight hours and into the day on Tuesday as low pressure continues to track out of the Four Corners slowly and into the Southern Plains. While accumulations are anticipated to remain under 4 inches, some areas could see localized heavier amounts. Additional snow fall and moderate surface winds will keep driving conditions hazardous through the afternoon before temperatures rise above freezing.
Elsewhere, the frontal boundary advancing through the Mississippi Valley and Southeast will stall through the Northern Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday. Showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible across the Northern and Western Gulf as well as along the coastal areas. Further inland through Northern Louisiana to Northern Georgia, a slight chance for a wintery mix of freezing rain/sleet will remain possible through the early morning hours on Tuesday before temperatures rise and a changeover to all rain is anticipated by afternoon.
