Moderate snow will continue on Tuesday across the Northern Rockies. Light to moderate snow will also continue across the Great Lakes and Northeast. Up to a foot of snow will be possible in isolated areas.

A shortwave trough will move across the Northern Rockies, bringing moderate to heavy snow to portions of Montana and Wyoming. 4-8 inches of additional snow with localized heavier accumulations will be possible in the highest elevations. Across the Great Lakes and the Northeast, an area of low pressure will move northeastward into the Northeast, allowing for light to moderate snow. Accumulations of 4-8 inches will be possible, however, isolated areas may see up to a foot due to lake effect enhancement.
