Thunderstorms Continuing for Portions of the Southeast and Ohio River Valley

by WeatherOps, on Dec 24, 2014 12:48:13 PM

Thunderstorms will continue across the Southeast ahead of an area of low pressure and attendant cold front. Some additional thunderstorms may develop to the north of the main line into the Delmarva Peninsula. As thunderstorms continue, damaging winds and a few tornadoes will be possible. Thunderstorms will be possible tonight across the Ohio River Valley ahead of an upper level jet streak over the Mississippi River Valley. While updraft strength will be limited, any thunderstorms that develop will have the potential for damaging winds.
