Hazardous Weather Outlook for Wednesday, December 3, 2014

by WeatherOps, on Dec 2, 2014 4:03:49 PM

Moderate to heavy high elevation snow is possible Wednesday for portions of the Central and Northern Rockies. Early morning snow and ice is possible for portions of Maine.

Northern and Central Rockies:A trough of low pressure will remain over the Great Basin region with several potential disturbances expected to move across the Rockies. This will support isolated moderate to heavy snow with the higher elevations seeing another 4 to 8 inches of snow.

Maine: Although low pressure will be exiting the northeast on Wednesday, snowfall and perhaps some icing will be possible during the morning hours for Maine. Snowfall amounts should remain 2-4 inches at best through 6 AM, and a very light glaze of ice as well.
