Marginally severe thunderstorms are possible Tuesday for portions of Central and Northern Florida. Moderate to heavy snow is possible for the Rockies and Pacific Northwest. Light to moderate snowfall will continue for the Northern Plains. Localized flash flooding will be possible for Central and Northern Florida. Showers and localized flooding will be possible for the Pacific Northwest.

A cold front moving across Florida and instability will promote the development of showers and thunderstorms across Central and Northern Florida. Damaging winds and small hail will be the main threats, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. In addition to the thunderstorm potential, flooding will be possible with 2-3 inches of rain possible in some areas. Along the coastal areas of the Pacific Northwest, 2-3 inches of rain and flash flooding will be possible. Across the Rockies, an area of low pressure and moisture will allow for heavy snowfall across the Cascades and into the Rockies. 12-20 inches will generally occur above 6000 feet, but a rain/snow mix is possible in the lower elevations. Across the Northern Plains, a clipper system will allow for light to moderate snow. 2-4 inches of snow will be possible through the evening.
