Written by WeatherOps | Nov 5, 2014 9:25:17 PM

Showers and heavy rain will continue Thursday across the Northeast. Heavy rainfall will continue for portions of Southern Texas. Light to moderate snow will continue for the Upper Northeast.

Northeast US:
Rainfall totals of 1-2 inches are expected on Thursday as a low moves into lower New York and a front lifts and stalls. Some areas of local runoff are possible.

Southern Texas:
A stalled front along coastal Texas combined with a weak low will promote continued precipitation activity on Thursday. Another round of 1.5-2.5 inches is expected, and some heavier amounts isolated within are possible. Flooding is very likely due to 2-day rainfall totals reaching 3-4 inches for the region.

Upper Northeast:
Thursday night into Friday will allow for some light to moderate snowfall for the Upper Northeast. Most significant snowfall totals will come on Friday, however some initial regions of 2-4 inches could be possible late Thursday.
