A trough of low pressure will develop through the Northern Rockies and advance through the Central Plains. With moisture returning into the region, showers and thunderstorms will develop across the Dakotas and southward into Texas and Oklahoma. While severe weather is not expected, an isolated strong to severe thunderstorm will be possible. If storms become severe, damaging winds will be the main concern. Rain and showers will continue for the Pacific Northwest as low pressure lifts into the Gulf of Alaska. Heavy rain with over 5 inches of rain will be possible for portions of Western Oregon. Some localized flooding is possible. An area of low pressure moving across the Northeast will allow for 3 inches of rain and localized flooding in some areas.
