Helping Business Weather the Storm

Hazardous Weather Outlook for Thursday, October 23, 2014

by WeatherOps, on Oct 22, 2014 3:13:23 PM

General showers and thunderstorms are possible Thursday for portions of the Midwest. Heavy rain and flash flooding will continue for the Northeast.

Midwest:
A weakening front will allow for isolated showers and thunderstorms from Missouri to Southern Wisconsin on Thursday. While severe weather is not currently anticipated, an isolated strong to severe storm could occur during the afternoon hours where moisture and instability are expected to be highest. If storms become severe, potential risks should be isolated to damaging winds.

Northeast:
Low pressure system continuing to very slowly lift northeastward will allow for heavy rain over 2 inches mainly across parts of Southern and Central Maine on Thursday. Localized flooding will be possible.
