Isolated strong to marginally severe thunderstorms are possible today for the Northeast. Some areas of the Northeast will have some localized flooding due to heavy rain.

A slow moving cold front will bring showers and isolated thunderstorms to portions of New England and Eastern New York. 1-2 inches of rain, with isolated higher amounts could allow for some localized flooding. Across Southern New England and Southeast New York, a few hazardous thunderstorms will be possible. While widespread severe weather is not expected, a few strong thunderstorms could produce damaging wind gusts.
