Helping Business Weather the Storm

Hazardous Weather Outlook for Thursday, October 16, 2014

by WeatherOps, on Oct 15, 2014 3:12:59 PM

There will be a slight risk for severe thunderstorms tomorrow across Southeastern New England. For the entire New England region, heavy rain is likely.

Southeastern New England: Showers and thunderstorms will be possible through the New England states as a frontal boundary continues to advance eastward. Moderate to heavy rain will continue with an isolated risk for stronger to severe storms. Instability will remain limited, with coastal areas remaining the region of strongest instability. However, if stronger storms develop during the afternoon hours, a marginal risk for damaging winds and hail could occur.

New England: Locally heavy rainfall in excess of 2 inches may occur over this area as low pressure lifts northeastward into New England on Thursday. The threat for severe thunderstorm activity appears low at this time.
