Severe thunderstorms, in addition to heavy rain and localized flooding, are possible today from the Mid Ohio Valley and Central Appalachians to Northern Florida. Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are possible for the Southern Great Lakes.

Thunderstorms will move into portions of the Mid-Ohio Valley region this morning and continuing into the evening hours along and ahead of a strong cold front. While the threat for severe thunderstorms won't be as widespread as yesterday, numerous severe thunderstorms with the potential for hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes will be possible.

Across the Southern Great Lakes, thunderstorms will develop across the region as an area of low pressure lifts northward into the region. Isolated strong thunderstorms capable of hail and damaging winds will be possible.

Heavy rain will be possible from the Mid Ohio Valley to Northern Florida. Localized rainfall amounts in excess of 2 inches will be possible.
