Thunderstorms currently in New England will make their way through the Upper Northeast by late morning. Some storms could contain wind gusts to 40-50 miles per hour, but no severe activity is expected. Thunderstorms along a warm front across the Central Plains will have the potential for some large hail, but widespread severe weather is not expected due to limited forcing. A weakening cold front across the Southern US will continue to produce thunderstorms. Activity ongoing and further development will have the potential for wind gusts of 40-50 miles per hour with isolated gusts to 60 miles per hour. Across Arizona, the remnants of Tropical Storm Simon will bring heavy rain and thunderstorms. 2-3 inches of new rain, with locally higher amounts, will be possible.
