Helping Business Weather the Storm

Hazardous Weather Outlook for Wednesday, October 8, 2014

by WeatherOps, on Oct 7, 2014 3:21:50 PM

Isolated strong storms will be possible Wednesday morning across portions of New England. Isolated strong storms will be possible for the Central Plains. Heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected across Arizona.

New England: Remnant storms moving off of the east coast on Wednesday could pose a threat for some strong wind gusts. The same storms that allowed for a small area of severe risk on Tuesday will be the cause of this area of concern, however these storms will be moving into the region by mid to late morning and the best of severe parameters are expected to be weakening by this point.

Central Plains: Thunderstorms forming from a warm front on Wednesday in the Central Plains could contain an occasional strong updraft allowing for some hail, possibly large at times.

Arizona: The remnants of Simon will be moving into Arizona on Wednesday, bringing with it heavy showers and thunderstorms. Areas of 2+ inches of new rainfall are not out of the question, leading to some flash flooding and localized runoff.
